We are located at the Tertiary Hospital of the Province of Kalafong.
Requirements:
Minimum qualifications 10th grade or higher with a minimum of an ABET level 4 certificate (original certified school report or transcript that is no more than six months old).
The position requires a level of physical fitness that must be met by the candidate.
A demonstrated history of working in the cleaning or household maintenance industry is highly desirable. The ability to load and unload cargo as well as package goods will be an invaluable asset.
Reading and writing skills are required.
Capability to operate various types of machinery.
A readiness to absorb knowledge.
Have the ability to work well under time constraints and in a group.
Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays, as well as evenings and nights.
Good interpersonal skills.
Time management and excellent service to customers are essential.
Duties:
Ensure a clean and secure environment for patients and personnel.
As an illustration, cleaning and dusting of all surfaces in wards, cupboards, microwaves, refrigerators, kitchens, bathrooms, sluices, offices, floors, and windows.
Cleaning and clearing out the wards of their general and medical waste.
Administration of both soiled and clean linens.
Patients should be served meals, tea, coffee, and water, and food trolleys should be collected and returned after use.
Keep the cutlery and crockery clean and under management and control.
Gather the necessary cleaning supplies and waste disposal containers.
Unpack the perishable items and wash the linen.
Observe the rules and regulations regarding safety.
Beds must be decontaminated immediately following the patient’s transfer to another room or discharge.
Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the job description, the work schedule, and the responsibilities that have been assigned to you by your supervisor.
