REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 12
  • Computer literacy certificate.
  • Valid driver’s license (an added advantage).
  • Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Secretarial and administrative capabilities.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Adaptability, communication, assertiveness/leadership, conflict and stress management, negotiation, problem solving, office/diary administration, good administrative skills, writing and typing abilities, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of the Traffic sector.
  • Two to three years of relevant administrative experience in a local government authority or a similar high-pressure workplace.

DUTIES

  • Answering and screening all calls for the Traffic Chief and Chief Superintendent.
  • Typing of all required documentation.
  • Filing administrative tasks for Traffic Services to guarantee appropriate archiving is maintained.
  • Organization of functions (formal or informal).
  • To ensure that the section’s administrative functions are in place for future reference and that the section runs well overall.
  • Organizing the Chief Traffic and Superintendent’s Diaries. -Prepare monthly reports.
  • Perform any other related ad hoc tasks and obligations as requested or required by management (supervisor) from time to time.
