JOB SUMMARY
To assist patients in all aspects of the admissions and discharge process in a professional manner, avoiding financial risks for the organization while meeting and exceeding client expectations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Administrative Qualification/NQF Level 5
- 1–2 years of experience in general office administration.
- Health-related qualification or certificate (advantageous)
- Knowledge of ICD codes.
- Knowledge of medical and clinical terminology
- Advanced Computer Literacy
- SAP will provide an advantage.
KEY DUTIES:
- Providing professional service to all patients and customers.
- Provide patients with information about all aspects of booking and admissions in accordance with Clinix standards.
- Obtain all required information and documentation from patients upon admission, including their identity documents and current/valid Medical Scheme cards, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Accurately record all necessary patient information during admission.
- Complete the discharge process as needed.
- Provide a customer-focused admissions experience in the most efficient manner possible.
- Identify and prevent financial risks to the organization by following company policies and procedures, such as collecting co-payments and private patient estimate payments upon admission.
