Job Description
- Assemble and produce goods in compliance with schedules using the data provided in engineering drawings.
- Machine assembly and machine components manufacturing.
- Measure and check your own work to make sure it complies with the requirements listed on the drawings.
- Responsible for maintaining cleanliness near the equipment
- Responsible for one’s own safety as well as the machine’s and the workplace’s safety
- Perform routine upkeep on the device.
- Responsible for delivering the machine in a completely safe state
- If work takes longer than expected, discuss it with the team leader and find a solution.
- Conduct machine safety inspections.
- Improve the job’s quality, efficiency, and safety by making suggestions and implementing changes. Help new hires become trained and develop their skills in the workshop. Be accountable for helping to create an engineering team that works well and has a positive attitude.
- Help management with responsibilities linked to the daily workshop
Experience & Qualifications
- Tradesmen with qualifications in Turner, Machinist, and Toolmaker
- Must be a skilled craftsperson with three to five years’ minimum experience Post-trade test: Must have achieved certification of suitability for the intended use, such as clearing certificate issuer/acceptance
- Ability to carry out diagnostics for fault identification on any equipment in any engineering discipline
- Familiarity with the Explosive Act and the OHS Act Comprehensive understanding of engineering-related standards and principles
- Proficiency in maintenance within a manufacturing setting Strong comprehension of contract administration, asset maintenance, and risk mitigation
