Purpose of the Handyman Job Description
To perform planned, preventative, and emergency maintenance on all of the equipment that has been specified in a timely and high-quality manner.
THE PRIMARY RESULTS
Carry out duties in accordance with the job cards (work orders) that have been issued, taking into account the requirements of both the client and the company.
Carry out investigations, evaluations, and repairs on the equipment that has been identified as malfunctioning.
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on all electrical equipment and appliances in accordance with the SLA.
Carry out responsibilities associated with the relocation of the office, such as, but not limited to, the installation of furniture; shop fitting; the repair of doors, locks, handles, and windows; the replacement of ceiling and carpet tiles; and general paint work.
Perform routine maintenance and service checks on all plumbing-related equipment in accordance with the SLA.
Make necessary adjustments and perform routine maintenance on all roller and rapid doors.
Conduct inspections on all of the equipment related to access control and fire safety, and report your findings.
Help the Artisan with any significant maintenance or repairs that need to be done.
Maintain regular communication with the Facilities Manager, Service Manager, Building Manager, and Commercial Coordinator regarding the current status of the restoration of operations.
Take on additional related responsibilities and tasks as they are given to you from time to time
WHAT YOU NEED
In Terms of Qualifications, Requirements, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
The Applicant needs to demonstrate that they can fulfill all of these requirements:
Senior Certificate, also known as a Matric, and N3 Technical, in either electrical or mechanical fields.
Authentic SA Permission to Drive: License
three years of applicable experience working as a handyman in building maintenance roles
Basic instruction on the use of manual tools, electrical, and mechanical equipment
Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act as well as ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
