Description of the Job

To provide assistance to the MMU Controller in the management and operation of all aspects of a mobile manufacturing unit (MMU – BLEND truck), in order to meet the requirements of the customer while adhering to the standards and procedures defined by AECI (OTIF).

To provide assistance to the MMU Controller in the process of performing routine inspections on fixed plant and MMUs in accordance with SABS and World Class standards, with the goals of locating non-conformances, putting into place preventative measures, and achieving continuous improvement.
Contribute to the completion of all tasks pertaining to blasting that are necessary (for instance, measuring holes, closing or stemming charged holes, guarding, cleaning, etc.).

Upkeep of the Site by Housekeeping.
The cleanliness of the truck park and the wash bay.
The tidiness of the vehicles.

The act of loading and unloading goods into and from trucks.
Contribute to the charging up of responsibilities on the bench.
Help plug charged holes or stem the flow of charged fluids.
The loading and unloading of explosives and accessories that have been packaged.
To behave in accordance with all legal requirements while at the storage facility.
To guarantee that the MMUs are always spotless and maintained in accordance with the World Class Standards.
Capability to work without supervision.
All functions relating to blasting that are necessary.

Experience and other necessary qualifications

Matric or Grade 12
A driver’s license with a code B.
Workplace procedures that are risk-free
Knowledge of the product
Manipulation of potentially harmful products
Required to have the ability to obtain a health clearance red ticket
