Description

Precise management of all Point of Sale (POS) transactions and paperwork, hence guaranteeing customer satisfaction.
Guarantee that no merchandise or inventory is processed via the Point of Sale (POS) without payment being completed.

Requirements

  • Completion of Grade 12 or a minimum of one year of relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in English and the primary language spoken in the relevant geographical region.
  • Proficiency in executing fundamental computations with precision
  • Strong administrative skills are essential. Availability for shifts, weekends, and public holidays is required.
  • Must possess the ability to perform under pressure

Cash Handling

  • Verify that all currency, including floats and petty cash, assigned to you is balanced, with no discrepancies.
  • Verify that products are accurately identified and recorded on the Point of Sale Terminal.
  • Record the accurate payment method received from customers at the Point of Sale Terminal.
  • Maintain adequate change at all times.
  • Guarantee that pick-ups are executed precisely and within the established parameters.
  • Verify that cash-ups are conducted precisely at the conclusion of your shift.
  • Verify that all daily revenues have been deposited into the Drop Safe/vault.
  • Verify that all transactions concerning external store finances, delivery, and quotations are executed accurately.

Administration

  • Execute, build, and submit all pertinent documentation associated with the Cashiers function.

Client Assistance

  • Provide prompt, courteous, and effective service to all Cashbuild customers during the check-in and check-out of their goods.
  • Direct customers to the appropriate individual who can provide assistance.
  • Ensure adherence to the company’s dress code.

Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Requirements

  • Compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OHSA) regulations to protect the safety of customers and workers within the designated area of responsibility.
  • Notify the Store Manager of any irregularities.

Security Awareness

  • Ensure compliance with system password control at the point of sale.
  • Guarantee the secure storage and transportation of cash to the cash office in accordance with Cashbuild Way protocols.
