Description
Achieving 100% customer satisfaction through meticulous processing of all Point of Sale (POS) transactions and related paperwork.
Be careful that no inventory or commodities are let past the Point of Sale (POS) without proper payment.
Requirements
- High school diploma (Matric Certificate) or equivalent and 1 year of relevant job experience
- Competence in both English and the language(s) spoken most often in the region where the available post is located
- Capacity to accurately complete simple mathematical tasks
- Must be able to multitask and be available on nights, weekends, and holidays
- Persevere when faced with adversity
Handling Money
- Make sure there is no imbalance in the money that has been allotted to you, including floats and petty cash.
- Verify the accuracy of the tagged and recorded goods on the POS system.
- At the point of sale, accurately record the customer’s payment method.
- Make sure you always have enough spare coins.
- Maintain precision and adhere to all established guidelines when making pickups.
- At the end of each shift, double-check that all cash-ups are correct.
- Make sure you’ve deposited all of your daily takings into the vault or Drop Safe.
- Make sure that quotations, payments, and delivery to other retailers are processed accurately.
Administration
- Gather all paperwork pertaining to the Cashiers position, have it signed, and then put it away.
Business Ready
- Following the CB Way, be prepared for business and deal with situations outside my control.
Customer Support
- Assist all Cashbuild customers with their purchases in a timely, courteous, and efficient manner.
- Please follow the company’s dress code and direct them to the appropriate individual to assist them.
Health And Safety (WHS) Standards
- Ensuring the safety of both customers and employees within the scope of one’s responsibilities is an example of OHSA compliance.
- Get in touch with the store manager if you notice any injustice.
Knowledge Of Security And Safety
- Safety (for example, checking if the system’s password controls are being followed)
- Make sure that cash is securely stored and transported to the cash office in accordance with the standards of the Cashbuild Way.
