Job description

Apprenticeship Training Program:
Obtain both a National Certificate for the Pharmacy Assistance Learnership Programme (Learner Basic Pharmacist Assistant) and a Further Education and Training Certificate for the Pharmacy Assistant Learnership Programme with a passing grade.
Certification in Pharmacist Assistance (Learner Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant) from the Pharmacy Healthcare Academy, which is an accredited institution
A structured learning program that includes both a theoretical and practical component, and that when completed, results in the attainment of a qualification that is registered on the National Qualification Framework (NQF).

You, as a Learner participating in this program, will be expected to accomplish the tasks outlined in the following list:

Learnership Training Contracts must be successfully completed at a registered Clicks Pharmacy and under the supervision of an approved tutor in order to qualify.
Participate in the necessary training interventions, and to the best of your ability, successfully complete the assessments.
Put in a request for an Evidence Portfolio.
Assist the healthcare team in one of Click’s pharmacies while working under the supervision of a registered pharmacist and adhering to the legal scope of practice outlined by the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC). This position is located in South Africa.

Minimum requirements
Qualification requirement:

Essential prerequisite: successful completion of the 12th grade with a minimum grade of 50 percent in mathematics (or a score of 60 percent in math literacy); a grade of “Pass” in both Life Science (biology) and Physics in addition to a score of 50% in English

Work back agreement: Successful applicants will be required to enter into a work back agreement and will be required to work for Clicks as a qualified Pharmacist Assistant for a period of time equal to or greater than the length of the learnership period as a minimum.
This time period will be determined by the length of the learnership period.
45 hours per week are required by contract.
