Job Description
A Retail Store Assistant position is currently available at the Constantia Park store of Dis-Chem Pharmacies. The primary objective of this position is to provide support for the store’s overall management by ensuring that operational and administrative responsibilities are executed in accordance with the established policy and procedure.
Minimum Requirements…
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Basic computer skills, including Outlook, Excel, and Word. SAP. Retail experience
Duties of the Job…
- Ensure that all customer compliments and complaints are reported to management.
- Cultivate a professional rapport with clients.
- Guarantee that all inquiries regarding customer stock are addressed and resolved.
- Maintain effective external communication with customers when they require feedback.
- Assist customers with any inquiries and direct them to the appropriate departments when necessary.
- Comply with the company’s benchmark for customer turnover per hour.
- Responsible for the management of the shorts and overs at the point of sale, which includes the floats.
- Oversee the management of refund and return transactions.
- Ensure that returned goods and back shopping are handled appropriately.
- Inspect and verify invoices and deliveries to ensure their complete accuracy.
- Assist the Receiving Manager in the preparation and logging of Distribution Centre claims on the Distribution Centre claims system.
- Oversee and regulate inventory that is susceptible to risk.
- Prepare the daily run reconciliation.
- Prepare, order, and receive the branch change requirements to guarantee that cashiers have an adequate supply of change to provide the highest level of customer service.
- Retain an effective connection with all pertinent parties.
- Ensure that all documents, including float, petty cash, and cash on hand, are managed effectively.
