Job Specification
Vehicle Management
Ensure that the vehicles are spotless and in a satisfactory condition to commence operation for the day. Monitor the mileage of the vehicles and provide a report when the target mileage has been reached for servicing.
The vehicles should be monitored to determine whether any repairs are necessary.
Reporting
- Monitor any vehicle damage and notify the supervision.
Organizing
- Maintain the capacity of demand by guaranteeing the availability of all vehicles and an accurate count of vehicles.
- Determine the distance and time required for each picking or depositing request between sites.
- Guarantee that all requests are work-related and that a spare vehicle is available in the event of a malfunction.
Manage all instructed tasks and duties
- Ensure that all tasks and responsibilities are completed as directed
- Deliver and retrieve samples from the Micron laboratory for a variety of customers.
- Transport the Research and Development personnel to the appropriate sites for trial cases after they are collected from the head office.
- Submit all marketing materials associated with exhibitions.
- Ensure that all trainees are transported to their appropriate locations.
- Deliver all engineering spares to the appropriate locations.
- Transport I&J visitors to various locations throughout the Cape Peninsula.
Minimum Requirement
- Grade 12
- PDP driver’s license with code 8 or 10
Prior experience is necessary.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a comparable position as a driver
Supplementary prerequisites
- Be prepared to labor on the weekend if necessary.
