Specific Conditions
Availability to work beyond regular hours and throughout weekends.
This role reports to the Regional Services Coordinator.
Objective of the Position
Accountable for the comprehensive execution of Community Development initiatives and programs.
Principal Areas of Responsibility
- Executes Community Development Programs.
- Facilitates activities of various Forums pertaining to Community Development Programs or Projects within the eThekwini Municipal region.
- Contributes to the formulation of Community Development Policy for the Municipality.
- Contributes to the initiation of Community Development Programs or Projects at the local level by facilitating their formation process.
- Executes designated projects from the business plan.
- Delivers reports on the efficacy of programs or projects to enable the Regional Coordinator to assess progress.
- Informing the Regional Coordinator of the established plans.

Fundamental Prerequisites
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or its equivalent.
- Legitimate motor vehicle operator’s license.
- One year of pertinent experience.
Desirable Qualifications
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or its equivalent,
- along with a Higher Certificate in Public Management or Public Participation.
- 2 years of experience collaborating with diverse groups and actively participating in community activities.
