Job Description
Through Managed People Solutions, you will have the opportunity to become a Driver for a significant wine distribution company in Johannesburg. For the purpose of ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining vehicles, and providing exceptional customer service, we are looking for candidates who can be relied upon.

Job Duties:
- Make sure that you arrive at your position on time in order to guarantee that the deadlines mentioned in the delivery schedule are met.
- Make certain that the daily handover of deliveries from the warehouse of your vehicle is carried out in an effective and efficient manner. In accordance with the daily distribution schedule, make certain that your vehicle is positioned appropriately and is ready for collection at the appropriate time.
- Make certain that the deliveries are packed precisely in accordance with the schedule and in a way that prevents any damage to the goods.
- Prior to leaving the warehouse, you should make sure that you are in possession of your tablet on a daily basis and that you have all of the paperwork for all deliveries that you have completed with you.
- Carry out stock deliveries and collections in accordance with the delivery schedule or in response to requests made by the distribution supervisor or manager. Deliver orders to customers in a timely manner, accurately, and in accordance with the schedule.
- Interact with customers in a way that will encourage them to return for additional purchases.
- The instructions on the paperwork for the upliftment state that you should pick up and record any current or defective wine. Uplifting stock should only be done in the boxes and packaging that it came in originally.
- Keep a safe and courteous driving style. Take measures to ensure that the rules and regulations of the road are always followed, including but not limited to the following: no speeding, stopping at stop streets, observing traffic lights, no illegal overtaking, no lifting, no illegal parking, and no stopping.
- It is imperative that any accidents or incidents that involve the vehicle be reported to the Driver Supervisor or Manager as soon as possible. Accidental situations are managed according to standard operating procedure.
- Make sure that you are always well presented and that you are dressed appropriately in accordance with the dress code, which specifically pertains to the uniforms that are required to be worn.
- Always make sure that your tablet is in good working order and that you have it with you at all times when you are making deliveries. The delivery schedule is to be adhered to in accordance with the tablet application.
- The condition in which the tablet was received represents the same condition in which it must be returned. It is still the driver’s responsibility to ensure that it is always kept in a secure location.
- Every day, make sure that all of the paperwork for deliveries and uplifts is finished, and that any documents that are pertinent to the situation are either given to customers or returned to the warehouse.
