REQUIREMENTS : A National Diploma at NQF level 6 in Civil Engineering/Engineering or pertinent capability as perceived by SAQA. Three (3) years’ post capability specialized Engineering experience. Necessary enrollment with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as Engineering Technician (join verification of enlistment). A substantial driver’s permit. Competitors will be exposed to a skill evaluation.

Obligations : Render specialized administrations: Assist Engineers, Technologists and partners in field, studio and specialized office exercises, advance security in accordance with legal and administrative prerequisites; assess existing specialized manuals, standard drawings and methodology to consolidate new innovation and produce specialized plans and details and submit for assessment and endorsement by the pertinent power.

Carry out authoritative and related roles: Provide inputs into planning process as required; Compile and submit reports as required. Give and solidify contributions to the specialized/designing functional arrangement. Create, execute and keep up with information base and Supervise and control specialized and related work force and resources.

Innovative work: Continuous expert improvement to stay aware of new advancements and strategies. Research/writing concentrates on specialized designing innovation to further develop ability and liaise with pertinent bodies/gatherings on designing related matters.
