Security Officers Job Description
There are currently open positions in the Lichtenburg Area.
This position’s overarching mission is to ensure that all Site-specific security requirements are met and that the Client’s needs are met in an effective and professional manner at all times.
Additionally, this position is responsible for ensuring that all Site-specific security requirements are adhered to.
Security Officers Minimum Requirements
PSIRA Grade B/C Certification that indicates the candidates are registered and accredited.
License to drive a motor vehicle (with PDP) and regular driving experience of at least two to five years’ duration.
Competence with firearms, including handguns, shotguns, and rifles, will be advantageous.
Matric or equivalent.
No prior convictions or pending cases, to my knowledge.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Previous experience in a leadership role is advantageous.
Experience in either security escorting or armed response is required.
Experience conducting basic investigations and experience attending to incidents are required.
A background in the military or the South African Police Service is desirable.
A fundamental comprehension of the OH&S policies and protocols that govern compliance within the mining industry.

Capable of working a variety of shifts, particularly the night shift for long periods of time.
Should call the Mafikeng Area their permanent home.
