Description of the Forklift Driver Job

The individual in charge of this duty is responsible for the movement and handling of bales from the HD press floor to the storage area.

We need to take this matter seriously for a while. We require:

Matric
Experience in the wool store spanning three years.
Valid license to operate a forklift
Ability to collaborate with others is required.

Must be willing to accept responsibility for one’s own work product.
Ability to interact well with others
Skills in both writing and mathematics
A native speaker of both English and Afrikaans
Required skills include the ability to work well under pressure and pay attention to detail.
Care and attention to every aspect

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Bales are being moved from the HD to the stowage area.
Transfer all broken or ripped bales to the holding area for being repressed.
It is required that you have the ability to work effectively under pressure when the floor is at its maximum capacity.

Take note of any reference numbers that are missing their last digits, and then report your findings to the line manager.
Hyster checks should be performed every day.
Please inform the line manager of any new noises.
On the Shipping and HD floor, you should never exceed a safe speed while still ensuring maximum productivity.
It is required that every lawful work instruction be performed exactly as instructed by a superior.
