Description
Guarantee that the customer service provided in the store is comprehensive.
Stock merchandising, shelf price labeling, and upkeep within the designated area of responsibility.
Requirements
- A minimum of Grade 10 or NQF 3 and one year of work-related experience, or a Grade 12 without related work experience.
- Proficiency in the primary language of the geographical region in which the position is located and in English.
- A work permit or valid South African identification card
- Capacity to execute fundamental calculations with precision.
- Must be prepared to work weekends, public holidays, and schedules
- Must possess the capacity to function effectively in high-pressure situations
Customer Service
- Provide guidance and support to customers regarding the appropriate products and inquiries.
- Assist in the resolution of customer complaints
Merchandising Standards
- The bulk stock area must be merchandised in a secure manner and in accordance with the store layout plan.
- It is imperative that your area of responsibility is thoroughly merchandised in accordance with the store layout and planograms.
Cleanliness
- Ensure that your aisle is free of obstructions, stock is promptly merchandised upon receipt, and customers are able to enter and exit without any risk of injury or irritation.
- Proper shelf price labeling within the scope of one’s responsibilities.
- Ensure that the checklist is completed in accordance with the schedule for the canteen and toilets/showers while on duty.
Safety Requirements (OHSA)
- Safety (OHSA) compliance (e.g., the use of safety gear, ensuring the safety of customers and personnel) within the area of responsibility
- Ensure that the area of responsibility (racking and bulk) is stocked in a secure manner, allowing customers and colleagues to move safely within the store.
- Inform the Store Manager of any discrepancies.
Oversee Stock Losses
- Inform the Store Manager of any damaged stock within the area of responsibility.
