This notification serves to issue an erratum regarding the advertisement published on 11 December 2024, Reference Number: MN3825/24, for the position of General Worker: Electrical Section x2, which has a closing date of 16 January 2025.
Applicants should be advised that the goal of the erratum is to amend the compensation scale to align with the 2024/2025 salary and wage curve collective agreement.
Applicable Salary Scale:
COMPENSATION: R 149,028.00 per annum – R 163,260.00 per annum (Level 13 of a Grade 04 Local Authority)
Total compensation package, encompassing all benefits: R 277,497.44 per annum
SPECIFICATIONS:
- Grade 10.
- Grade 12 (additional advantage).
- Valid Driver’s License (additional benefit).
- Superb interpersonal and communication abilities (bilingual proficiency required).
- Capability to adhere to and implement provided directives.
- Good physical health, fundamental skills, and knowledge of doing physical tasks.
- A diligent and self-disciplined individual.
- One year of pertinent experience in general tasks associated with the Electrical Section within the Local Government Authority.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accountable for the loading and unloading of materials and equipment inside the section, utilizing protective gloves and safety gadgets.
- Erect traffic signage to alert motorists to workers adjacent to municipal highways during excavation activities.
- Maintain cleanliness in and around the designated work area using a broom and various manual labor instruments to ensure a hygienic atmosphere.
- Perform any labor-related tasks as instructed by the supervisor or the section superintendent.
- Implementation of all legal directives from the supervisor to guarantee productivity and the seamless operation of the section.
- Execute other related ad hoc tasks and responsibilities as asked or necessitated by management (supervisor) periodically.
This opportunity is exclusively available to residents of Midvaal.
COMPENSATION:
