Grain Field Chickens, a subsidiary of VKB Agriculture (PTY)Ltd, is a dynamic position participant in the built-in broiler industry with an abattoir in Reitz in the North Eastern Free State.

Job Description
Responsible for things to do related with universal work in the plant such as retaining the cleanliness in the department, packing, hanging, pushing lifting and other accepted duties in accordance with laid down instructions/ insurance policies and procedures.
Requirements
Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 Equivalent.
Able to work in cold and warm environments.
The applicant have to be in right physical situation as the position involves physical work and standing for extended periods.
A willingness to work overtime, incl. shifts, on weekends and holidays when required.
Duties and Responsibilities
Sweeping walkways/ other detailed areas within the plant and gathering litter.
Correct cleaning of products.
Removing and washing off particles the usage of pressurized cleansing structures (handheld hoses).
Pulling, pushing and placing and stacking of crates in targeted storage area.
Moving all rejected portions to the Gyros as required.
Carrying crates and different objects to unique areas within the plant.
Ensure all work is carried according to SHEQ and corporation standards.
Take care of protecting apparel (PPE) and preserve work areas in a easy and tidy condition.
In addition to your regular obligations as outlined below, you will be required to function any different duties as requested by using your line manager.
Skills Required
Understanding of production procedures.
Knowledge of fitness and protection processes (PPE).
Team player.
Able to work under pressure.
