At this time, we are looking for a Cook who can prepare meals, prepare ingredients, and adhere to the procedures that are in place to ensure the safety and health of food.
The Obligations and Responsibilities
- Is responsible for the preparation and cooking of a variety of foods, including meats, fish, vegetables, gravies, cereals, soups, fruits, bakery products, and breads.
- Cooks and prepares food for individuals who follow special diets using recipes that have been developed by qualified personnel
- Contributes to the provision of on-the-job training and provides assistance in the management of the work of students, employees, and workers in the food service industry within the assigned area
- Contributes to the preparation of salads and desserts as an assistant
- Communicates to the supervisor the requirements for food and supplies.
- Whenever it is required, checks in the food and supplies.
- The records of food production are maintained.
- Cleans the kitchen, including the devices and utensils used in the kitchen; secures the refrigerator and freezer
- Provides food in accordance with the requirements
- Achieves the highest possible levels of cleanliness and safety standards
As required or assigned, performs additional duties and responsibilities that are related to the position.
- Participates in all of the employee meetings that are scheduled and contributes suggestions for ways to improve
- Immediately informs the kitchen manager about the quality of the food and the equipment
- When preparing any and all products, our Standardized Recipe Card would be utilized.
- Under no circumstances should you rely on your own or other employees’ memories.
- Having strong interpersonal skills and working well with others as part of a team
- Ensuring that high quality and hygiene standards are in accordance with the standards of the company
- The execution of food preparation and presentation
- Making certain that appropriate portion control is taken into account
- Ensuring that the food is delivered at the appropriate time
- Provide assistance with the planning of menus and the management of stock
- Keep to the recipes.
- Versatile enough to work overtime when it is necessary
- Remain current on the latest food trends as well as the most effective methods.
- It is possible that you will be required to provide assistance with any additional responsibilities that may fall outside the scope of your responsibility.
