Description of the General Assistant Job

Anova is a nongovernmental organization (NGO) that works to empower individuals and improve lives. What drives us to provide those who have the greatest need for healthcare solutions and support is the desire to improve both their health and the quality of their lives.

The ideal candidate will contribute to the maintenance of our offices’ cleanliness and hygiene standards. Additionally, it is expected of the incumbent that during visits, audits, and meetings, etc., they will provide refreshments for our stakeholders.

General Assistant Principal Obligations

Carry out cleaning tasks such as sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting our workplace, including the kitchen and reception area.
Clear out the trash cans and move the waste to the designated area for collection.
Windows should be cleaned as needed, at a reachable height, and in an area where safety should be observed at all times.
Please report any damage to the property as soon as it is discovered or as soon as it has occurred.
Maintain communication with the Provincial Coordinator in order to place an order for various supplies such as coffee, tea, sugar, milk, and other cleaning materials.

To ensure that the office never runs out of supplies, it is important to conduct stock taking on an as-needed basis.
Make sure that the policies regarding health and safety, as well as the standard operating procedures, are followed or observed at all times.
Contribute to the provision of refreshments for our stakeholders during visits, audits, meetings, and the like.
As needed and as requested, assist with a variety of other relevant ad hoc duties.

Minimum requirements in terms of qualifications, expertise, and experience:

Grade 12.
At least one year of experience cleaning homes or offices, preferably both.
Possess the ability to work effectively under time constraints.
You need to be adaptable and willing to deal with a constantly shifting work environment.
Have the ability to work unsupervised or with minimal guidance while still producing quality results.
Competence in the art of communication.
Be self-motivated while also contributing to the team.
Skills in writing and basic mathematics are required.
Time management skills
A familiarity with the rules governing health and safety.
Attention to detail.
