Description of the Shunter Driver Job

The Warehouse department at Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) is currently recruiting for an exciting new position.
For the position of Shunter Driver, which will be based in Bloemfontein, we are looking for a talented individual who possesses the relevant skills and experience.
The candidate who is ultimately chosen will be responsible for reporting directly to the Team Leader Warehouse located in Bloemfontein.
The primary objective is to safely and effectively maneuver trucks and trailers within the yard and warehouse area so that vehicles and trailers can be loaded, unloaded, and parked in accordance with the operational efficiency standards that have been predefined.

Shunter Driver Principal Duties and Responsibilities :

Make sure that all trucks and trailers used for secondary distribution are moved to and from the loading bays at the required rate of operational efficiency so that all vehicles are able to leave at their scheduled times.
Make sure that all of the primary distribution trucks and trailers are moved to and from the loading bays at the required rate of operational efficiency so that all of the vehicles are able to leave at their designated times.
Make sure that trucks and trailers are parked in the yard within their respective designated parking spaces so that the driver will have an easier time leaving.
In accordance with the loading plan, you are responsible for ensuring that the appropriate trailers and trucks are moved to and from the loading bays.
Ensure that trucks, trailers, and other pieces of equipment are operated safely, and report any incidents that involve violations of safety protocols, damages to equipment, and other incidents of a similar nature.
Ensure that all applicable trailers are connected to the power point at the respective parking bay and that the pallet jack is charging inside the trailer so that the driver can leave without any difficulty.
Ensure that all safety rules and procedures, such as the use of chock blocks and the prohibition of idling vehicles while they are being loaded, are followed, as well as any other policies that may be relevant.
Be sure to count all of the inventory every single day and comply with all relevant stock management processes.

Shunter Driver Requirements :

Grade 12 or equivalent
One year of relevant experience(Truck Driving)
Code 14 license
