Description of the Job

In order to maintain their Brooklyn location, Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for an experienced Cleaner. You will be responsible for ensuring that the store is kept clean and organized in accordance with the hygienic standards of Dis-Chem.
The canteen, the stock room, the dispensary, the administrative office, and the store floor will all be included in the areas.

Requirements Minimum.

Matriculation
At least six months of experience in the cleaning industry
Having a solid command of the English language and providing good customer service
The addition of language that is specific to the region
capable of working retail hours and willing to do so

Favorable in that:

Previous experience in retail store cleaning as well as being bilingual

Particulars of the Job…

Prior to the opening of the store, ensure that a daily high standard of cleanliness and hygiene is maintained throughout the entire store, including the shop floor and the communal areas.
To ensure that the store is kept to a high standard of cleanliness throughout the entire establishment, you should establish routines.
Ensure that the restrooms and the canteen are always clean and stocked with the necessary items at all times.

Make sure you are available to clean up whenever it is needed throughout the entire operation’s hours.
Make certain that the appropriate cleaning products and equipment are utilized for each individual job.
During the process of cleaning the floor, make sure that the wet floor sign is displayed and visible at both ends.
Ensure that you are able to assist customers while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
The duties must be carried out in accordance with the Health and Safety Regulations.

Competencies and Abilities

Experience in cleaning in the past
Mastery of the English language, both orally and in writing
Service to the customer
Reliable and trustworthy, with a keen eye for detail and a presentable appearance
It is necessary to be able to take instructions and carry them out.
Managing one’s clock

Favorable in that:

Previously gained experience in retail store cleaning
Dual language

Provisions of employment that are not standard:

Capable of working retail hours and willing to do so
Capable of walking, standing, climbing, kneeling, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, and moving objects, as well as being physically fit for these activities
either have access to dependable transportation or live in close proximity to the store
a citizen of South Africa
Having a clean criminal record and credit file
