The overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) is something that we are looking to improve, and we are looking for a Helper – Rigging to assist Artisan Riggers with difficult tasks.

You will be responsible for the following responsibilities as a Helper – Rigging:

To provide assistance to Riggers in the event of breakdowns and to maintain opportunities.
obtaining work permits in accordance with the principles of Sappi.
Carry out a risk assessment in accordance with the Sappi policy for sixty seconds.
Keeping the house in order.
Maintaining a standby status while working overtime.

The communication with the artisans and riggers while the operations are being performed.
Identifying and managing the risks that are associated with a task that needs to be completed contributes to the creation of a safe working environment.
In the workplace, move and transport various pieces of equipment.
Ensure that the maintenance tasks that have been assigned, scheduled, or planned are carried out.

These responsibilities include providing assistance to Riggers in the performance of maintenance tasks, which may include but are not limited to the following:

Inspections of lifting equipment such as assisting riggers with color coding are included.
The individual is responsible for providing rigging assistance for all work carried out across the entire mill by operating lift trucks and/or tractors.
Inspections and autonomous maintenance performed on rigging section vehicles on a daily basis, such as lubricating the tractor and other vehicle components.
The rigger workshop, the rigger yard, the lay-down area, and the salvage and storage yards all require meticulous housekeeping.

Transferring the repaired equipment from the workshop to the stores after it has been repaired.
Assisting with the loading and unloading of equipment that is going to and coming from vendors when it is necessary to do so.
If you are licensed and competent, you will be able to operate overhead cranes, tractors, skyjacks, forklifts, and other similar machines.
Learn how to acquire licenses for the various mobile equipment that can be found on the Ngodwana Mill site.
Work shifts, including both day shifts and night shifts, as the situation permits from time to time.
It is important to ensure that lifting machines and equipment are clean and safe.

Required Minimum Qualifications are as follows:

Grade 12/Matriculation, or N3 with a degree in mathematics and science.
Previous experience with rigging techniques.
A driver’s licence that is valid.
