We have a great opportunity for two Stock Controllers. Do you think you have what it takes to become our newest Purple Star?

The Stock Controller will be accountable for receiving and issuing F&B branch stock. Responsible for managing the branch’s back-of-house stock. Responsible for maintaining correct records of front-of-house stock issued. Ensure that stock changes are accurately recorded so that stock reporting is correct. Management of storage and storeroom facilities.

What You Will Do for the Brand:

  • Ensure that internal food and beverage stock management processes are followed.
  • Manage the F&B stock control function, including food and beverage delivery scheduling and receipt.
  • Maintain good back office stock standards by declaring wastages and breakages. Dispose of expired stock. Ensure that F&B back office goods is neatly packaged to preserve it and keep it in a clean and tidy shape while stored in appropriate locations.
  • The F&B Supervisor is in charge of managing any back-of-house stock that is issued to the front of house. Ensure that any stock issued is recorded and signed off. Maintain accurate records in stock requisition registers to account for provided stock. Reconcile everyday.
  • Conduct a daily stock count for back-of-house inventory. Ensure that wastage/breakages are disclosed and reported in accordance with GAAP.
  • Account for variations in back-of-house stock and take appropriate disciplinary action against the storeman/stock clerk. Submit a deviation report to the F&B branch manager every day.
  • Monitor stock expiration dates on a regular basis and ensure proper stock rotation to save waste. Ensure that any waste or breakages are disclosed in accordance with the relevant process and disposed of before the start of service in the morning.
  • Ensure that stock levels are checked in order to anticipate future needs and keep stock at suitable levels.
  • Obtain approval from the F&B Branch manager to place an order and follow up with vendors to ensure the order was received.
  • Accurate recording of all orders placed on a daily basis.
  • Ensure that stock received is accounted for in accordance with the quality and quantity specified in the stock order. Accurate recording of stock delivery and anomalies. Communicate with the supplier to correct any issues that arise.
  • Ensure that the GRV protocol is followed when recording stock received. Ensure that stock is properly wrapped and stored in an appropriate area. Submit the GRV, signed order sheet, and supplier delivery note/invoice to the F&B Manager. Maintain proper records of these.
  • Facilitate stock transfer between branches in accordance with the required method to record, issue, and account for stock.
  • Ensure that stock movement is appropriately captured in GAAP so that stock reporting is accurate.
  • Stock Report on back-of-house stock: Daily report showing issued stock, receiving/ordering/GRV of stock, transfer of stock between branches (if applicable), and stock disclosure of breakages/wastages.
  • Management of store employees/stock clerks. Maintain stock control at all times. Manage the distribution of supplies into containers.
  • Ensure the timely submission of daily, weekly, and monthly F&B stock reports.
  • Capture stock on the GAAP system.
  • Complete the POS blanks.
  • Attend to client inquiries and complaints.
  • Any additional duties that may be required.
