Laboratory Attendant Job Description

The purpose of this position is to prepare samples so that accurate results can be obtained, which can then be used to monitor performance and ensure that organizational goals are met.

Laboratory Attendant Inherent Obligations and Accountability

It is necessary to carry out the standard procedures for the preparation of samples, which include crushing, pulverizing, filtering, rolling, splitting, and drying.
As part of the sample preparation process, perform sieve sizing analyses on the samples.
Inspection and troubleshooting of first-line problems with sampling equipment
Cleaning of the apparatus and daily inspection and checks of the balances are also required.

In preparation for XRF and AA analysis, the samples were prepared.
XRF analysis is currently being loaded and carried out.
Carrying out fundamental AA analysis
Performing tasks such as checking off items on sample checklists and entering data into the system
Organizing and storing of samples in accordance with their respective specifications and color codes
Uphold a high standard of cleanliness.

Grade 12

Laboratory Attendant Experience and Skills Requirements

It is required that you have a minimum of one year of experience in the preparation of samples in a laboratory.
Having knowledge of, as well as a solid comprehension of, the fundamental ideas behind sample preparation, such as contamination, representative sample, and the integrity of a sample, etc., is essential.
Competence in the use of the English language
