Objective Of The Position
Accountable for the implementation, configuration, monitoring, and management of information technology security systems for the municipality.
This position reports to the Manager of IT Security.
Principal Areas of Responsibility
- Manage, regulate, and operate the server and application security systems and infrastructure.
- Establish IT security systems and fault management support protocols for designated systems.
- Oversee IT systems.
- Examine logs to assist the Municipality in adopting a proactive security strategy.
- Assess the security posture of IT systems, identify vulnerabilities, and offer recommendations for enhancements.

Fundamental Requirements
- Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) with a certificate in Information Security.
- Valid driver’s license.
- 3 years of pertinent experience.
Qualifications
- A degree (NQF Level 7) in an area relevant to Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and a certificate in Information Security.
- Four years of pertinent experience.
