The Europcar branch located in Richards Bay Airport is currently looking for candidates to fill a permanent position for a Driver with Light Duty.
We are searching for a candidate who has a profound comprehension of the fact that we are in the business of selling services and that the quality of the vehicle that we offer plays a significant part in the overall experience that the customer has.

Overview of the Position

In addition to ensuring that every renter receives a vehicle that is on time and satisfies our quality and safety standards, the purpose of this position is to provide customer service that is both efficient and friendly.

Specific Duties and Obligations of the Role

  • The interior and exterior of the vehicle will be cleaned to our impeccable standards.
  • Vehicle quality control, including identification and reporting of expired license vehicles and any other issue that does not conform to our quality standards.
    The process of refueling vehicles, checking the pressure of the tires, and checking the oil, water, and other fluids after each rental.
  • Providing vehicles to customers in accordance with the procedures that we have established.
  • Managing vehicle check-ins in accordance with the procedures established by the company, quality control, and claims.
  • Ensuring that the yard and any other areas to the surrounding area are kept clean.
  • Maintaining the company’s reputation by acting in an ethical manner and protecting the assets and interests of both the company and its clients is essential to the company’s continued success.
  • Additional responsibilities are available upon approval.

Competencies and previous work experience

  • At least two years of experience behind the wheel
  • NQF Level 4 (Grade 12 or an equivalent) Certificate
  • A valid driver’s license with a Code 8 endorsement that is at least two years old and valid
  • Capable of using a computer (a fundamental level is sufficient)
  • Capable of perusing a map.

Important to Take Note Of:

For the position to be filled, the ideal candidate must be willing to work overtime, shifts, and weekends when necessary.

Competencies and Personal Characteristics:

  • Capacity for communication (comfortably conversant in English while also being able to read and write)
    Having strong interpersonal skills is essential in order to maintain excellent face-to-face customer relations.
  • Applicants are required to demonstrate a sense of urgency and commitment, as well as the ability to handle pressure and demonstrate good time management skills.
  • A member of the team.

The term “professional” encompasses all aspects of behavior, including grooming (the ability to look neat and presentable).

  • Extremely resilient in the face of pressure, long hours, disagreements with customers, and other challenges.

  • Capable of adapting to minute-by-minute changes, which can occur during times of high demand. When you are about to leave at the end of a shift, you pick up your bag to leave.
  • However, there is an emergency, and you need to delay leaving so that you can rush in and assist.
  • Enthusiastic about achieving both individual and team goals simultaneously.
