Job Description

Pedros is a high speed and rapidly developing business, and we are looking for a motivated and excited Logistics Intern for our Cape Town Distribution centre

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist in Inventory Management

Work intimately with our Logistics group to maintain accurate stock records, screen stock levels, and guarantee on-time deliveries

2. Data Analysis:

Collect and investigate information related to transportation cost and supply chain performance to distinguish areas for improvement

3. Help in Receiving:

Coordinate deliveries, process orders, and oversee documentation to guarantee smooth logistics operations
4. Support Supply Chain Improvement:

Team up with experienced experts to distinguish potential chances to optimize supply chain processes and reduce costs

5. Communication:

Liaise with suppliers, transporters, and inward groups to work with effective communication and guarantee the ideal timely flow of information

6. Problem Solving:

Help with resolving logistics challenges, for example, transportation delays and stock disparities, with an emphasis on finding proficient solutions

7. Fleet Management and Route planning

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have finished a four bachelor’s degree program in Logistics, Supply Chain Management , Business, or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
• Astounding communication and teamwork capacities
• Capability in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Eagerness to learn and adjust to a high speed environment
• Attention to detail and organizational abilities
