Purpose of Position

There is a position open for a STOREKEEPER (Warranty Store) at Motus MAN TRUCK & BUS CENTRE JHB. This position reports to the Service Manager and works closely with the Workshop Manager to oversee the company’s warranty store.

Principal Obligations and Duties:

To get ready and record all serviceable or replacement components.
Be sure to attach the proper tags to any warranty or maintenance items before discarding them.
All warranty and maintenance parts must be properly labeled and stored in the claim store in accordance with MAN’s warranty and maintenance procedure.

Forklift the heavy stuff around.
Maintain a high level of cleanliness at all times.
Any discrepancies must be reported every day to the workshop’s administrative manager.
MAN’s warranty and maintenance procedure calls for the disposal of old parts once a month.
Battery maintenance and warranty management is back in the MAN’s purview.

Take care of returning warranty/maintenance-related service exchange components to MAN.
To report unethical behavior or conduct to upper management and take personal responsibility for adhering to OEM & Motus’s policy on ethical business conduct and behavior.
Observing all rules regarding workplace safety.

Expertise and Requirements

Grade 12/Standard 10.
Proficient in the field for 3 years.
Competence in the warehouse sector.
Capable of identifying components with ease.
A forklift license is required.

Ability with computers is a plus (Drive or AutoMate)
Competent social interaction and verbal expression.
Competence in working without supervision and with precision.
