Job Purpose
To really gain and capture electricity meter readings.
Key Duties:
• Read electricity meter and entering information on handheld terminals or cards.
• Disconnect and reconnect “safe” power supplies.
• Report associated misappropriation with power.
• Advance and maintain successful client relations.
• Drive vehicles when required to read meters or perform “safe” re-connections and disconnections.
• Accomplish daily log sheets to record vehicle movement.
• Wash and clean meter reading vehicle and resolve property access issues.
• Distinguish and report on placing and sequencing of meter.
• Give a report on broken and missing meter room entryways and locks.
• Access computer systems for information pertinent to meter readings.
• Download vehicle observing information.

Essential Prerequisites:
• Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.
