Particular Cashier Duties and Aims

Make sure that the paging system is on the first call back after there has been no response.
Utilizing the dealership’s in-house computer system, calculates or re-calculates the final bill for the customer.
Follows the procedure outlined for accepting payment and issues receipts for payments made in cash, by electronic funds transfer (EFT), and by credit card.

The amount received is entered into the computer, and the money is stored in the register or the drawer.
Provides customers with receipts and makes change for them.
Examines, records, and confirms the sums that are displayed on the receipt tape using the cash that is currently available.

Customers who have additional questions or complaints are referred to the service advisor or another appropriate person, depending on the nature of their inquiry or complaint.
Customers are greeted in a timely, friendly, and professional manner when they walk through the door. Customers who are currently waiting should be informed that they will be assisted very soon.

Make sure that the areas where people work and where customers wait are kept clean.
Perform a reconciliation of the payments received with the amounts that were invoiced and the prices of the parts.

Keeping an eye on the operations that are relevant to the customer in order to improve how well we handle their requests while maintaining our reliability and meeting our deadlines.

The booking clerk is responsible for conveying information to customers, the service area, and the sales area. This role is necessary because it promotes communication and information sharing between the three areas. In order to accomplish this, it is necessary to accurately assimilate and convey information.

Taking complaints from customers in a friendly manner and relaying them to the appropriate department or person.

Qualifications, as well as Previous Work Experience

Cashier experience of at least three years is required to work for the Volkswagen brand.
Must not have any prior criminal convictions.
Matric / National Senior Certificate.
Experience working in the automotive industry is a definite plus.
Required to have exceptional skills in verbal communication.
Skills related to administration.
