Description of the Job
Courier Pickers (Nightshift) are needed to join the Oncology team at Dis-Chem Pharmacies in Midrand, which currently has a job opening for such positions.
The primary objective of this function will be to accomplish the goal of achieving operational excellence within the Dis-Chem Oncology field.
Ensure that stock is picked in an accurate and efficient manner in accordance with the normal operating procedures of the organization.
Essential:
Secondary school qualification (Grade 12) or equivalent; one year of related job experience
Advantageous:
Education at the Bachelor’s or Master’s Level in Supply Chain or Logistics
Show that you are familiar with the appropriate software for the computer, including SAP EWM, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Capable of gathering information and producing reports
Particulars of the Job
Picking:
After an order has been received by an arm-mounted device, it is imperative that the orders be chosen.
When you are given picking instructions, make sure that the appropriate crates are utilized, and that all of the restrictions are adhered to at all times.
While choosing, make sure the essential standards of speed and accuracy are maintained.
Make sure that every item, after chosen, is put into the appropriate color HU or box for the system.
Make sure that the finished order is delivered to the appropriate inspection location or conveyor belt.
You are not permitted to remove merchandise from the warehouse area unless you have either the appropriate paperwork or the permission of the manager, supervisor, or pharmacist.
Finish the daily maintenance checklist for the equipment.
When selecting in sensitive locations such as the refrigerator, the food preparation area, or the operating room, it is imperative that certain protocols and safety precautions be adhered to.
Make sure that the space in the warehouse and the storage rooms is being utilized to its full potential.
You need to be willing to do any additional duties within the department if they come up, and you also need to be willing to be rotated to other locations within the department as required.
Assistance to Customers:
Ensure compliance with high accuracy standards in order to fulfill the criteria set out by the client.
Ensure that the selecting process is both effective and timely in order to guarantee that client orders will be sent and delivered on time.
Maintaining connections that are both successful and efficient with the company’s internal customers can help increase operational efficiency.
Investment in Shares:
Please inform a supervisor or a member of management of any mistakes, discrepancies, or broken items.
Fill out an administrative form and go through all of the necessary steps to organize the formalities for any accidents or damages that happened during packing.
Mark and report to the Inventory manager any items that are beyond their expiration date or have a short date remaining.
When putting away stock, ensure that you follow the protocol for stock rotation (Earliest expiry date, to be picked first).
When selecting stocks that are about to expire, you should follow the technique of stock rotation (FEEFO – First Expiry First out).
Offer information that may be used to fill up incident reports in connection to health and safety violations and any accidents that may have occurred.
Maintain a constant awareness of your surroundings and stay away from theft and fraud.
