PURPOSE of the Cashier job description:

To provide excellent service to customers by actively, promptly, and accurately processing transactions using point-of-sale systems.

THE FOLLOWING ARE THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Process customer orders in accordance with standard operating procedures while providing excellent customer service.
2. Ensure that the pace of service is maintained
3. Accurately process all forms of payment in accordance with standard operating procedures
4. Inform Customers of the Currently Available Promotions in Order to Drive Sales
5. Raise average ticket prices through upselling and other suggested selling strategies.
6. Ensure that the places where customers are served are kept clean and sanitary in accordance with standard operating procedures
7. Ensure that FOH Stock is Maintained in Accordance with SOP

MANDATORY CONDITIONS:

1. The National Senior High School Diploma, or its equivalent (recommended).
2. Possession of a High School Diploma (mandatory)
3. Literacy skills that are well developed
4. Strong capabilities in the use of numbers
5. A year’s worth of experience working the cash register at a retail establishment, preferably in a quick-service restaurant.
