Overall Objective Of The Position
Assist in the provision of a comprehensive, professional, and cost-effective pharmaceutical service to in-hospital patients and the general public.
Primary Responsibility Areas
- Guarantee that the public and merchants have access to medicines and scheduled substances.
- Guarantee precise distribution
- Guarantee the efficient storage of scheduled substances and medications
Essential Education
B.Pharm qualification or final year B.Pharm student
Essential Job Skills And Knowledge
- Presently applicable legislation For instance, the Medicines and Related Substances Control Act
- Managing finances
- Good pharmaceutical practices
- Regulations and formularies of the Medical Aid Scheme; benefits
- Antimicrobial stewardship and clinical pharmacy
- Pharmacy management systems (e.g., AS400; UNISOLVE)
- computer-literate (preferably with Microsoft Office)
- Product knowledge that is ethical
