SALARY: R107 196 – R126 270 per annum

PORTER REQUIREMENTS:
A high school diploma or equivalent (Abet level 4-5) and at least two years of experience working as a morgue attendant or porter.
Literate, both in reading and writing.
Prepare yourself to work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays and holidays.
A familiarity with providing care to customers.
A familiarity with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).
Comprehending the tenets of the Batho-Pele tradition.
PORTER ASSIGNMENTS
Accompany patients who are walking, wheelchair bound, or being transported on stretchers to various service points.
Aiding in the process of loading and unloading patients from ambulances and private vehicles.
Wheelchairs and stretchers are brought to the porter’s bay to be cleaned after being used at various treatment stations throughout the hospital.
Carry the deceased patient’s body from the wards to the morgue.
Provide assistance with messenger services and assist with the delivery of blood samples and documents.
