Summary of the Gardener Employment Ad
The successful applicant will be responsible for the upkeep and development of EMS landscapes and facilities using a variety of horticultural equipment, machines, and tools in a work environment that is very labor intensive, as directed.
Gardener Minimum Requirements
Matric/National Senior Certificate
Along with an appropriate amount of horticultural work experience (at least six months).
Capability of operating horticultural machinery such as a brush cutter and lawnmowers, amongst other examples.
Fundamental safety knowledge and regulatory requirements
The Most Important Gardener Duties
- General upkeep of the site, including the grounds and the buildings.
- Sweeping, cleaning, weeding, planting, and watering the plants.
- The addition of mulches, compost, and fertilizers to the soil.
- The loading and unloading of various goods, machines, plants, and other types of debris, etc.
- The employment of horticultural tools and machinery such as trimmers and lawnmowers.
- Assist with the construction and the decorating of the space when necessary.
Knowledge
- Mowers and brush cutters as well as other types of machinery
- Fundamental plant knowledge
- Use of hand tools

- Capability in Verbal and Written Forms of Communication
- Horticultural skills
