A Brief Synopsis of the Safety Officer Assistant Job Ad
The successful candidate will be expected to provide assistance with the implementation and administration of occupational health and safety requirements, as well as the prevention and management of incidents.
Protection of property and equipment to the highest possible specification standards within and around the workplace.
The candidate is responsible for communicating any problems they come across to the Section Safety Officer.
Safety Officer Assistant Prerequisites at a Bare Minimum
- A National Diploma in Safety Management and a Grade 12 education;
- An advanced diploma in safety management is highly advantageous.
- A minimum of one year of work experience in a setting involving both maintenance and operations.
- A candidate who possesses environmental management expertise would be desirable for this position.
Safety Officer Assistant Duties
- Identifying potential risks and taking preventative measures.
- Ensure that all SHE action items are completed.
- Ensuring that all health and safety regulations are followed to the letter
- You are responsible for coordinating all inspections regarding safety compliance.
- Ensure that all employees, line management, and service providers are informed of any and all safety-related issues.
