Role Description Objective of the General Worker Position

Our Talent Team is searching for an expert in the fundamentals to fill the position of Picker in our Vector Logistics Division.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional adaptability.

This position will be based in Bloemfontein and will report to the Shift Warehouse Controller.
This position is responsible for overseeing inbound, outbound, stock integrity, stock handling, and warehouse efficiency, as well as leading a team/shift.

General Worker Minimum Requirements

Matric
Physically Strong
Sober Habits
One year of experience in Warehousing or a related field is desirable.

General Worker Duties & Responsibilities

Sweeping
Cleaning the factory
Assist with deliveries en route
Assist with picking and other warehouse tasks as needed
Loading and wrapping of product pallets
Operating MHE such as Pallet Jacks and Forklifts (*permit required)
Follow standard operating procedures when loading a truck.

Wrapping

Sorts and packs cases in accordance with product packaging instructions and wraps shipments.
Removes low-quality professionals prior to loading.
Assist Checker with case removal and/or unpacking.

Housekeeping

Ensure a high level of cleanliness is maintained.
Maintain cleaning supplies and store them properly.
Ensure stacking is orderly, secure, and square.
Always keep the work area clean and organized.
Ensure trash is removed from floors and walkways before the end of the day.
Ensure that pallet boards and pallets are removed from the pick levels and cold room in a timely manner.
