Intercare Gonubie Medical and Dental Centre, located in East London, is seeking applicants for a receptionist. The main objective of this position is to deliver outstanding client service by easing the patient administration process.

We are in search for an eager individual to fill this post and rise to the challenge. As a receptionist, you will deliver high-quality customer service in accordance with the overall business plan, as well as perform administrative and payment duties. If you are a motivated self-starter, this position is ideal for you.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide timely, courteous, and professional telephone services to patients.
  • Assist patients in appropriately filling out necessary paperwork and documenting all information in alignment with internal policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for all processes linked to the reception-patient journey, such as patient booking, arrival, and payment via the relevant system.
  • Please direct all consumers to the right location, services, and Professional.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality at all times in accordance with POPIA.
  • Ensure that the reception area is constantly clean and tidy.
  • Refer all emergency patients to the nurse’s station as per protocol.
  • Help patients with basic account queries and escalate as needed.
  • Collect all copays and account balances in accordance with Intercare policy and procedures.
  • Perform and follow the daily cash-up and banking processes.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Grade 12
  • Previous experience in a customer-focused service environment, such as reception, would be desirable.
  • Proficient with computers.
  • GoodX system experience will be beneficial.
