In your capacity as a receptionist, you will execute administrative and payment duties while delivering exceptional customer service that is consistent with the organization’s overarching strategy. Intercare Waterstone Medical and Dental Centre, located in Somerset West, Western Cape, is currently recruiting for a Receptionist. This role is dedicated to the facilitation of the patient administration process in order to deliver professional customer service.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Offer telephone services that are professional, friendly, and efficient in the context of patient care.
- Assist patients in the precise completion of the appropriate forms and ensure that all information is documented in accordance with the internal policies and procedures.
- Responsible for all procedures associated with the reception-patient journey, including the booking, arrival, and payment of patients on the appropriate system.
- Ensure that all customers are directed to the appropriate location, services, and professional.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with the Privacy and Protection of Information Act (POPIA).
- Guarantee that the reception area is consistently organized and tidy.
- Refer all emergency cases to the nurse’s station in accordance with the established protocol.
- Assist patients with basic account inquiries and escalate as necessary.
- Compile all account balances and co-payments in accordance with Intercare’s policies and procedures.
- Adhere to and execute the daily banking and cash-up procedures.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12
- Previous experience in a customer-focused service environment, such as reception, will be advantageous.
- Proficient in the use of computers.
- Experience with the GoodX system will be advantageous.
