The Intercare Summerstrand Medical Centre, which is located in Summerstrand, Gqeberha, is looking to hire a registered Nurse. This position is intended to fulfill all nursing responsibilities in accordance with the scope of practice that has been established by the South African Nursing Council, while also adhering to all of the policies and procedures that have been established by the facility.

Main Outputs:

  • Facilitating the pre-screening, treatment, and care of patients while providing assistance to the medical practitioner.
  • Assist the medical reception in determining the order of importance for medical emergencies.
  • Processes for stock management should be actively maintained.
  • Ensure that the emergency trolley is maintained in accordance with the policies and procedures of the company.
  • In accordance with the Department of Health regulations, ensure the efficient maintenance of Schedule 5 and higher drug registers.
  • Ascertain that the disposal of human tissue and medical waste is carried out in a manner that is in accordance with the OHS Regulations.
  • Taking on the responsibility of opening and closing the branch is your responsibility.
  • Ensure that customer complaints are effectively addressed and escalated to the practice manager with any relevant information.

REQUIREMENTS REQUIRED:

  • Diploma or degree in nursing, leading to certification as a registered nurse
  • Having two to three years of experience working in a supervisory capacity is advantageous.
  • Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office) essential
  • Registration as a Registered Nurse with the SANC
