Pipe fitter and Turner
The post is for individuals who hold a Fitter and Turner qualification and will ensure maximum plan operation by conducting principles of maintaining, take apart and repair of machinery or equipment. The role is required in Sappi Ngodwana Mill and will give feedback to the Mechanical Workshop Foreman.
The qualifications required by Sappi for this role include the following:
- A Grade 12 qualification/certificate
- Or N2 Mechanical Engineering Certificate
- For N2, a Trade Test Certificate as a Mechanical Fitter and Turner is required.
- A 2 Years Post-Apprenticeship Machining Experience in a Heavy Engineering Environment
- And lastly a Driving Licence
Key responsibility include disassembling, repairing and maintaining functionality of machinery/equipment, perform fault inspections, complete daily given tasks, work according to the safety and health requirements of Sappi, maintaining housekeeping and report issues to the supervisor.
