A Concise Description of the Job and Its Purpose
Providing effective equipment maintenance and reliability, adhering to procedures and codes, and making use of all available support resources in order to increase stability and maintain the sustainability of the plant and/or equipment are all ways in which an Artisan Fitter contributes to production.
Principal Lines of Business:
Factory Production of Explosives
Key Accountabilities and Description of the Recruitment Process
The provision of mechanical equipment with service and general maintenance.
The process of locating and fixing issues that arise with mechanical equipment.
A general understanding of pneumatics
Keeping of records.
Continuous adherence to quality and safety protocols.
The observance of safety management systems compliance
In a position to implement emergency procedures
The task risk assessment should be read, interpreted, and implemented.
Identifying risks and conducting risk assessments for tasks
Gain an understanding of and make use of the documentation system for plant maintenance
In general
The ability to work shifts is required.
Must be able to put in extra hours of work.

Education in a Formal Setting
Applicants must have completed the equivalent of the 12th Grade in both mathematics and science.
Certification for the Fitter Trade Test
Driver’s license with the code 08
Not Much Experience
Having worked as an Artisan Fitter for at least three months
Being able to demonstrate previous experience working in an explosives environment will help.
Pneumatic and hydraulic experience in locating and fixing problems.
