Job Description
The following position is currently available at TWK Agri: Service Technician in the Trade Department of Winterton, KwaZulu-Natal.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Examine and evaluate outdoor power products for defects and issues.
- Identify mechanical issues and ascertain the most effective course of action for restoration.
- Ensure the proper operation of lawnmowers, chainsaws, brush cutters, and other equipment by performing repairs and adjustments.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to prevent the occurrence of future problems.
- Following restorations, verify that the equipment is functioning properly by conducting a test.
- Maintain precise documentation of the restorations and maintenance that have been completed.
- Assist customers in the correct maintenance of their equipment by offering guidance and advice.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Matriculation or Grade 12
- Prior expertise as a service technician
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot issues
- Expertise in the maintenance and repair of chainsaws, lawnmowers, and brush cutters
- Certification in the repair of lawnmowers, chainsaws, and brush cutters is advantageous.
- Capacity to execute physical tasks and lift heavy equipment as required
- Adaptable to a variety of outdoor environments and climatic conditions
- The ability to work occasional weekends or evenings as required.
- Capacity to prioritize duties and work independently
