Position Overview
We are presently seeking a qualified Storeman to become a member of our team.
The successful applicant will be responsible for managing and overseeing inventory, engaging directly with suppliers and staff, as well as supervising the store associate.
Preferred qualifications in terms of education and experience:
- Two years of experience in a logistics setting.
- Matriculation or a qualification in Logistics.
- While prior experience in a hospitality setting is preferable, it is not a prerequisite, as comprehensive training will be provided.
- Experience with WorkSmart and SAFRON will be considered advantageous.
Principal Areas of Responsibility:
- Facilitate the placement of orders and coordinate with suppliers following the authorization of the Project/Assistant Catering Manager.
- Please verify that the prices and quantities are consistent with both the order sheet and the invoice.
- Distribution of stock and supplies to all external departments.
- The measurement of all food products allocated to personnel for production purposes.
- Administer the inventory ratio of retail establishments in accordance with the budget, adhering to specified minimum and maximum stock levels.
- Facilitate the weekly and monthly inventory assessment.
- Ensure that all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) records are completed accurately and promptly.
- Oversee the management of the storeroom, refrigerator, and freezer.
- Please ensure that the storeroom, refrigerator, and freezer are securely secured and consistently maintained in a clean condition.
- Examine all merchandise entering the store’s premises to ensure compliance with quality standards and the accuracy of accompanying data documents, as well as proper labeling.
- Receive all inventory from suppliers and verify that all items received are in proper condition.
- You will be required to work during vacations.
- Please ensure that all stock is properly stored following each mealtime service.
- It is imperative that quality assessments are conducted on all culinary products.
- Establish rigorous regulations for the refrigerator, freezer, and storeroom.
- Collaborate with the Project/Assistant Catering Manager and Catering Supervisors.
