Key Areas of Shop Assistant Performance

  1. Giving customers a WOW experience by giving them AWESOME customer service
  2. Take care of each customer’s unique shopping wants and always put the customer first.
  3. Making sure customers get fast, helpful service on the sales floor and over the phone
  4. Follow all basic rules for customer service.
  5. Figuring out what buyers want and giving advice on product range, price, and guarantees
  6. Showing, explaining, and giving advice to customers about products.
  7. Selling things and, most importantly, selling extra products and services.
  8. Making sure goods are priced and displayed properly.
  9. Making sure promotions happen on time and are planned ahead of time.
  10. Following all merchandising/layout standards and cleaning schedules.
  11. Planning, starting, and keeping up with all announced sales promotions on time
  12. Telling the store manager what sells well and what doesn’t
  13. Taking part in stock counts and stock takes
  14. Keep stock losses to a minimum
  15. Keep costs down in your area of duty
  16. Make the most money possible in all places
  17. Take care of the company’s property in your area of duty

Needed to get in

  1. Grade 12
  2. Six months of experience working in a store
  3. To work shifts, you must have your own car or a safe way to get to work.

In general

  1. To do any other related tasks that Senior Management asks of you
  2. To do all required training and service training as needed
  3. Keeping all information strictly secret.
  4. Doing a regular rating and personal development review.
  5. To be responsible for and up-to-date on current SOPs.
  6. To help fully with the launch of any new technology and new ways of doing things.
