POSITION PURPOSE: THIS POSITION WILL REPORT TO THE OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR AND IS A FIXED TERM HOURLY POSITION
The purpose of this position is to transport cargo from one location to another using a horse and trailer in a safe manner so that operations can continue uninterrupted.

Perform daily task and record discrepancies
Obtain shift norm from CC
Report all incidents / accidents
Continuously check vehicle for defects Position outputs:
Obtain document for shift work

Check the total tonnage of the cargo
Log on to the operating system (Navis/GCOS/Cosmos)
Follow the on-screen directives using the RDT, which generates the move of the cargo
Load the cargo
Acknowledge that the task has been completed at the end of the instruction cycle

Experience and other prerequisites include:

Minimum of two years of relevant driving experience
Grade 12 or NQF 4 qualification
Code EC driver’s license
PrDP
Added advantage: Internal Drivers Course (6 weeks)
