Additionally, it will be the responsibility of the truck driver to ensure that all loads are delivered to the clients on time, in full, and on time (ODIFOT), as well as to ensure that the company’s assets (trucks and trailers) are handled.
Description of the job
Drive and maintain the delivery truck and trailer, as well as monitor the consumption of fuel.
In order to ensure that the loads are delivered on schedule and in full, it is necessary to carry out the daily load plan.
Assume full responsibility for all of the stock that is already on the truck and make sure that all of the necessary documentation is present.
Obey the protocols that are in place for receiving clients
Ensure that you comply with the company’s return procedures.
Collect the pallets and boards, and ensure that they are appropriately captured on the return sheet.
Every single POD needs to be signed by the recipient or EPOD.
Ensure the customer service is according to a well class standards
It is responsible for reporting any and all occurrences and accidents to the supervisor.
For the purpose of ensuring that loads are loaded and offloaded in compliance with the route plan and the processes of the company, it is necessary to manage driver helpers.
One of the non-negotiable requirements is a certificate of completion of Matric.
You must possess a valid driver’s license with a code 14, a PRDP, and a G&P for a minimum of two years.
Extensive experience in driving heavy-duty vehicles.
The capability to engage in negotiations and establish connections with customers in order to place orders for replenishment would be advantageous.
