Hollywood Sportsbook Limpopo (Pty) Ltd offers an exciting opportunity for a VIP (Security) Officer to work in Limpopo at the Polokwane office. This position is responsible for creating and maintaining a safe environment for people. This may include securing premises by monitoring surveillance equipment or through patrol activity. The VIP (security) officer is expected to prevent loss and theft and to report any irregularities or suspicious acts.

Minimum requirements:

• Class C
• Computer knowledge.
• 1-2 years security experience.
• Registered with PSIRA (private security industry regulator).

Advantageous:

• Valid drivers license.

Responsibilities:

• VIP (security) officer must be present 15 minutes before branch opening.
• The branch manager or senior team leader opens the branch in the presence of the VIP (security) officer.
• VIP (security) officers must ensure they conduct a perimeter patrol before the branch opens.
• The VIP officer (security officer) must check the premises for suspicious movement before opening the branch.
• The VIP (security) officer must be extremely vigilant and vigilant of his surroundings at all times before opening and closing the branch.
• The VIP officer (security guard) must walk through the hall once the branch is open to maintain order.
• The VIP officer (security officer) must confirm that all observation checks are complete before the store manager or senior team leader proceeds with his daily checks.
• During opening and closing, a VIP (security) officer must remain away from the entrance, watching his colleague and checking for potential hazards.
• Patrol should be inside and outside the branch office entrance, rear areas and all parking areas.
• Ensure all radios are fully charged during shift change and pass equipment inspection.
• Charge the batteries overnight so they are ready for use from the start of the shift.
• Ensure that all emergency buttons and radio equipment are in good working order and are kept safe.
• VIP (security) officers are required to wear their panic buttons, radios and earphones to ensure open communication and easy access in the event of an emergency.
• The VIP (security) officer stationed in the search zone must use the scanner to search all guests entering the branch, including team members.
• Make sure the branch door or gate in the search zone is always closed.
• VIP (security) officers are not allowed to gender-scan guests entering the store.
• Male guests may only be scanned by male VIP (security) officers, female guests may only be scanned by female VIP (security) officers.
• The VIP (security) officer must ensure that women’s bags are searched with a stick. Male guests are not allowed to bring their bags.
• The VIP officer (security officer) directs traffic on our premises, ensures unimpeded pedestrian traffic and controls the number of vehicles entering and exiting the building.
• End of day procedure, VIP (security) officer must minimize entry by slamming a door to ensure security and minimize high risk.
• The VIP officer (security officer) must attend the branch meeting if requested to do so by the branch manager.
• The VIP officer (security officer) must assist in receiving goods, conducting alarm tests and filing the daily report by 10:00 am every morning.

• First impressions last – VIP (security) officers are at the forefront of Hollywood.
• VIP (Security) Officers are the first encounter with the guest.
• Make sure you make an impression by greeting the guest with “Hello, welcome to Hollywood.”
• Make sure you provide good guest service by always being friendly, helpful, polite and courteous.
• Proactively address guest complaints and ensure guest feedback is communicated clearly, effectively and positively.
• Always create a guest-centric culture within the branch and promote the “Service with a Smile” philosophy.
• Always make sure to treat our guests with respect and have a good attitude.
• When the guest leaves the branch’s VIP officer (security officer) to wish the guest good evening or good night and ask them to come back. “Goodbye sir, please come back.

Attention:

• VIP (security) officers must ensure they are in full Amadoda uniforms with their name tags attached prior to the start of their shift. (only black shoes, black socks and white vet).
• Scan everyone entering the premises, including team members.
• Be aware of guests exiting the store, determine if they entered the store with something you noticed and left without that object.
• No bags are allowed on the premises.
• No weapons or firearms are permitted on the premises (except by an official law enforcement officer).
• Persons under the age of 18 are not permitted to enter the premises.
• When dealing with a difficult customer, contact your colleagues and hit the panic button before the situation escalates out of control.
• No alcohol is allowed on premises at non-licensed locations.
• Credit bets may not be accepted by any team member.
• VIP (security) officers on duty are not allowed to accept bets while wearing Amadoda uniform.
• VIP (security) officers on duty are not permitted to use the Limited ATM.

Code of Conduct:

• You will not sit or lounge, use your cell phone, or eat while on duty.
• No smoking on duty.
• You will not report for duty under the influence of alcohol.
• You will not give up your post. This could result in disciplinary action being taken against you.
• You are not allowed to sleep while on duty. This will result in disciplinary action being taken against you.
• You will not engage in casual conversations with friends or other team members while at your post.
• They do not accept tips from guests.
